The Stuff that could have been (Part 2): Chubby Fish
(ChubbyFish Website - 1st draft, using stand-in icons and products 2005)
In 2005, one of my best friends from university had several Macintosh Applications written and was ready to bring them to market as products of his newly formed business. He knew that in order to sell to the Apple-Crowd, not only would the apps have to be good but also the design aspects of his business would also have to meet a pretty high standard.
Since I owed him a pretty big favor (he got me my first big freelance gig in webdesign), I agreed to help him with the design aspects of his business in my (very limited) free time, starting with a memorable CI and a slick, glossy website, highly inspired by a mixture of the, then common, apple design elements consisting of an aluminium sheen, aqua-like elements and Powermac G5 look-a-like background grid.
He sold his products to a bigger company before he even had the design converted to css/html.
Sven, you are a lucky bastard :-)
